COMMENTS & OPINIONS
PROFITEERING OF EBOLA MATERIALS : Unethical and Unpatriotic Behavioural Pattern
Profiteering is a derogatory and pejorative business strategy and those involved in such uncompetitive act may be accused (of profiteering) when they disproportionately and unjustifiably raise prices during emergency period. In the current Ebola crisis, such act of profit making is principally considered unethical, unpatriotic and therefore unlawful. Profiteering especially price fixing, syndicates and corrupt competitive behaviours can be perceived as illegal act but as impunity is the status-quo in our society, profiteering is militating against our effort to conquer the dreadful Ebola disease.
