Ebola-Phobia Grips Sierra Leone and the World
The dreadful and appalling Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) may not have reached other parts of the world, yet the paranoia has already set in among the community of nations world-wide. Albeit the WHO and other expertshave issued series of guidelines on prevention of the virus, there is widespread panic among people world-wide. Such fear, paranoia and panic is what we refer to as phobia, and as such phobia is related to theEbola Virus Disease, one can coin the phraseology Ebola-phobia - that is to say, the fear and anxiety of Ebola.

Sierra Leone Investigative Newspaper rejects Bogus Allegations against Koroma, George Soros, Bill & Melinda Gates
Before she came to Sierra Leone from America to work at State House as a presidential adviser on health, Miatta Kargbo was “groomed” by a major multi-billion dollars Pharmaceutical company known as Eli LILLY. According to sources, she was “trained and groomed for 15 years” by Eli LILLY to join the company’s senior management for many years. Miatta Kargbo's position at Eli LILLY was a vaguely described “analyst”. Whilst working at State House, Miatta Kargbo still had her full-time job employment at Eli LILLY drugs pharmaceuticals from where she had merely “taken a leave of absence”. From State House, she was appointed as Health Minister but it is not clear if she is still on the employee roll of Eli LILLY. More on Miatta Kargbo when we finish ongoing investigations into the strategic connections between various pharmaceutical companies, an over one hundred million dollars Department of Defense contract & the development of an Ebola drug by a company named TEKMIRA PHARMACEUTICALS which now needs clinical testing of TKM-Ebola drug on humans infected with Ebola virus.

Sierra Leone Ebola Commentary: Alpha Kanu, Miatta Kargbo and Deaths Announced by the Three MRU Countries
Now, we note utterance of Alhaji Alpha Kanu against this newspaper up in Parliament on August 14th. This is second time he is threatening us with legal action over our Ebola news coverage. This time, he is threatening us under the guise of the State of Public Emergency. What a shameless man! After he lies, he threatens to jail those who question his lies? Unbelievable display of shameless bullying! Now, we would like Information Minister Alhaji Alpha Kanu to tell this country whether any appeal was made to the wife of America’s Vice-President, Dr. Jill Biden, during her last month visit, about urgent need for the international community to help with Ebola Epidemic? Did anyone raise Ebola assistance issue with Dr. Jill Biden? If not, is it because it was being downplayed then? Please let someone tell this minister to go and find better things to do than be always attacking Awareness Times. We suggest he can use his time better in finding fuel for helicopters.

Sierra Leone: Don’t Blame International Community; Blame Deceit and Denials!
Many who know how the international world reacts, tell this paper that down-playing of the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone plus denial by some officials are responsible for slower than anticipated response from international community. For example, neighbouring Liberia and Guinea have been very honest enough to state their hundreds of suspected and probable deaths from Ebola. In Sierra Leone, Health Ministry is continuing to release figures that make total mockery of data from affected communities. Even as the Paramount Chief of Jawei Chiefdom has probable and suspected deaths in his chiefdom alone, totalling several dozens, the Health Ministry has simply ignored the data instead showing less than 3 dozen probable deaths and only 5 suspected deaths for whole of Sierra Leone!!
