Tony Blair In Le10 Billion Corruption?
We are currently investigating claims that former British Prime Minister Tony Blairs Offices within the main capital city, were supposedly recently broken into by mysterious "thieves" during which documents are alleged to have gone missing. Allegations are that the missing documents have information about a so-far "top secret" Le10,000,000,000 (Ten Billion Leones) equivalent in U.S. dollars; quietly collected by Tony Blair from an American billionaire Bill Gates.

Celebrating the Queens Birthday with British Funded Human Rights Abuse?
I almost made a decision to pack my bags and abandon this land that I love so much when Hon. Justice Browne-Marke gave that leave on file ruling! An interesting ruling which I must say Jonathan Leigh of the Independent Observer newspaper has very adequately dealt with. However, I wonder what British taxpayers like Mendelle will say if they ever learn that their hard-earned tax is being used to finance a ceaseless series of Trials By Judge alone in this country? I wonder what British taxpayers will say if they ever were to learn that their hard-earned tax is being used to browbeat and detain civil servants in police cells for four days without access to legal counsel? I wonder what British taxpayers will say if they ever learn that their hard-earned tax is being used to finance police officers conducting armed early morning raids on a citizens residence merely to invite her husband and children to a British-funded investigation?

Crucifixions In Battle Against Corruption
There can be no denial of the fact that corruption is significantly responsible for the socio-economic malaise that this nation was plunged into several years. Every sober minded Sierra Leonean will readily agree that curbing corruption in both the public and private sector is an essential step forward in our collective determination to right the wrongs of the past. Past regimes lack of political will to tackle the issue of graft in the conduct of public and private affairs was evident in the now opposition partys reluctance, while in governance, to amend the Anti Corruption Act 2000 and give the ACC prosecutorial powers without having reason for a recourse to the office of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

The Dramatic Case of ACC & Afsatu Kabba
There was drama in court yesterday as the Anti Corruption Commission proceeded to justify the widely featured suspicions that they might be replacing their earlier charges against erstwhile Fisheries Minister Haja Afsatu Kabba, with fresh charges. A fresh charge sheet of only 7-counts was preferred and served on Haja Afsatu Kabba inside the Court room shortly after 10:00am yesterday April 19th 2010 whilst the original 17-Count charges were asked to be discharged and/or adjourned indefinitely. The fresh 7-Count indictment had been secretly filed since last Friday 16th April 2010 thus giving justification to much of the suspicions raised in a featured article that was widely disseminated last weekend. The fresh case of the new 7 counts should start in earnest on Wednesday May 5th 2010.

These documents reveal that prior to the appointment of Haja Afsatu Kabba as Minister of Fisheries & Marine Resources, officials of the Anti Corruption Commission had spent some two years attached to the Ministry studying the processes and procedures in a bid to uncover and stem any possible corrupt practices but however confessing that they failed to unearth any corruption. It was only with the advent of the Fisheries Minister and her institution of a Special Intelligence Gathering Team that the massive corruption plaguing the sector was uncovered resulting in an unprecedented exponential rise in revenue generation from the sector.

THE DECISION TO BAN THE SALE OF TIMBER WITHIN SIERRA LEONE- WHOSE BRAIN DEAD IDEA WAS IT ?
How could anyone in his or her right mind talk about development from one side of the mouth and from the other side ban the domestic use of timber? Why do those in authority always come up with easy solutions to problems, instead of sitting down and solving problems with practical solutions? Should a ban on the exportation of timber also have encompassed a ban on the domestic use of timber? The decision to ban the sale of timber locally, which is used for the production of boards, widely used in the construction industry without doubt was a brain dead idea
